“We’ve got the best and latest information and it’s all in one spot, ready when you need it.”
Amanda Blondeau, Chief Strategy Officer
Starting a business is a mix of excitement and stress. There is so much to think about, so many items on that to-do list.
Initiate helps. We just launched an entire section of startup resources to guide entrepreneurs through the process. There’s even a to-do list with items easily looked over – sales tax license, anyone?
Initiate’s new startup resources are divvied up into four categories:
For example, in the Idea section, there are:
• Pros and cons of starting a business from scratch;
• Pros and cons of buying a franchise;
• Five things to consider when buying a business;
• Three ways to go into business for yourself; and
• That all-important startup checklist
In the Plan, Fund and Launch sections there are tips on how to forecast sales projections, create a business plan and the 5 Cs of credit, among many others. These new resources are in addition to the 300+ existing Initiate resources about Money, Management and Marketing.
“We have many startup business owners coming to us for financing and they always tell us how stressful it is to try to learn everything,” said Amanda Blondeau, Chief Strategy Officer at Northern Initiatives. “We’ve got the best and latest information and it’s all in one spot, ready when you need it.”
Initiate is Northern Initiatives social enterprise that is free to all our loan customers.
